Shipping Transportation Messaging v1: Explaining to users that some items will not be shipped from CDW (click to zoom)
Shipping transportation messaging version 2
Shipping Transportation Messaging v2 (Final): Edited for further clarity on which messaging applied to which product group. User testing verified that this messaging was working and did not disrupt checkout (click to zoom).
Messaging version two with exposed product list
Messaging v2 (Final): Item list exposed

Challenge: Create simple checkout messaging for customers with orders that contain a mix of products shipped by CDW and our partners.

Solution: Translate complex, jargon-heavy internal language about our shipping policies into clear, concise messaging that does not disrupt the checkout process.

How I helped:
  • Collaborated with UX to unpack current messaging and business requirements
  • Crafted new messaging that gave users the required information without overwhelming them during checkout
  • Created alternate messaging for 11 separate shipping scenarios
  • Advocated for a click-to-expose list of affected products for a simpler, more streamlined experience
  • Added additional labeling during v2 for easier scannability
  • User tested messaging to verify comprehension and detect any friction during the checkout process
